|Balgarene is a quiet but popular village, south of Lovech just off main road E772 connecting Sofia with Varna. The village is engulfed by ancient forests and the gentle hills of lower part of the Balkan Mountain range. The place is 3 km from the River Osam which is gathering strength north towards the mighty Danube. |

Balgarene is a small village with about 300 residents just of the main road E772 connecting Sofia with Varna. Distance to Lovech is 17 km, to Troyan 22 km, Gorna Oryahovitsa airport is 1 hour drive and to Sofia and international airport about 1 & 1 /2 hour drive. There are many things to do and see in the area: within 30 km there are 5 working monasteries, Beklemeto ski resort is 30 km south and the hot mineral waters of Shipkovo and Chiflka are only 22 km and 35 km respectfully. The area is very popular not just among the residents of Sofia, Pleven, Ruse and Lovech but by numerous foreign investors who bought traditional and more modern properties here as second home or as an investment.
